This challenging project aims to question the growing trend for grassroots galleries to participate in the art market. In the run-up to the exhibition several works by international artists have been bought from an internet auction site. The works will be exhibited at Generator Projects for four weeks, during which time
visitors will have the opportunity to buy a raffle ticket for £1, for the chance to win the artworks on display.Raffle tickets will be available from Generator Projects, Collective Gallery (www.collectivegallery.net), Transmission Gallery (www.transmissiongallery.org) and University of Dundee Exhibitions Department (www.exhibitions.dundee.ac..uk) until Saturday 26th April. All proceeds, which will not exceed the budget of the project
itself, and will be reinvested in the Generator Projects programme. Get your tickets ready and join us for the 'Buy It Now' raffle draw and closing of the exhibition. Drouthy Neebors, 142 Perth Road, Dundee on Sunday 27th April 7.30pm |
