A Quest That's Just Begun

A Quest That’s Just Begun : 30/7/2020

I'm delighted to announce an upcoming group exhibition, A Quest That's Just Begun, that we are facilitating in collaboration with Wooosh Gallery. In response to the recent Black Lives Matter movement, and in line with my personal commitments as a curator, the exhibition is exclusively to showcase the talents of Black artists.

This project is conceived as part of a commitment to uplift, support and nourish fellow Black creatives vocally and unapologetically. We hope that A Quest That's Just Begun will be the first step towards implementing an appropriate system of care for Black creatives at GENERATORprojects (and other institutions!).

Wooosh Gallery is a grassroots outdoor-gallery based in a public car park on Dundee's Perth Road, presenting A4 artworks pasted onto a brick wall. Pre-lockdown, they invited a new artist each week to exhibit, and during lockdown have been taking submissions from their open call.

Following their usual format, on the 30th of July we will be hosting a livestream paste-up of the works from our 16 artists. We will be welcoming all members of the public to the carpark to view the show at their leisure over the following days and weeks.

Artists to be announced soon - I am so excited to share their incredible work with you all!
